Batmobile flies in for expo

The Bairnsdale Motor Expo is having its final climax this weekend and there will certainly be plenty of vehicles on show. There will be the Batmobile, Mad Max truck, rocker cover races, a radial air plane engine and a host of specialty cars just to name a few. The Batmobile will be going to the Lindenow South, Nicholson and Bairnsdale West primary schools for a display for the students today. Tonight will be the cruise night and it will showcase rocker cover racing and a radial aircraft engine will be on display at the Bunnings car park. The Batmobile will also be on display with special guests Batman and Robin making an appearance.

The children will have plenty of things to stay entertained as there will be a sausage sizzle, jumping castles, ice creams and Kombi coffee. Tomorrow morning there will be a display opposite Autobarn that starts at 9am and finishes at noon. The Batmobile and Mad Max Humungus machine will no doubt draw many people’s attention. Drive in night will be held later that evening at Bunnings, kicking off at 6.30pm. Top Shelf will be playing rock ‘n roll music before the movies. The movies are family friendly with the support movie being Mad2TheMax and the feature Wonder Woman. A jumping castle, ice creams, Kombi coffee will also be there along with a sausage sizzle and hamburgers to finish off the weekend event. The Blue Dragon will also be on show over the expo, which displays up to $20,000 worth of murals that cover the whole car. The expo is also hoping to have up to 60-80 vehicles on show and no doubt car lovers from across the area would not want to miss out on the opportunity to see them.
